Ingredients
- 1 lb ground fish
- 1 cup finely chopped taro root
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 24 gyoza wrappers
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground fish, taro root, onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, soy sauce, and salt.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of a gyoza wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half, and pleat the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the gyoza in the skillet and cook until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Pour in the water, cover, and steam the gyoza for 5 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
- Serve the Rapa Nui Gyoza hot, with your choice of dipping sauce.
