Rapa Nui Ribs
Rapa Nui Ribs are a traditional dish from the Pascuense (Easter Island) cuisine, featuring tender and flavorful ribs with a unique island twist.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and pineapple juice to create the marinade.
- Place the ribs in a large baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, basting the ribs with the marinade every 10 minutes.
- Once the ribs are tender and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
