Rasmalai Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios and almonds for garnish
  • 6 pieces of rasmalai for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, milk, ghee, yogurt, baking powder, and cardamom powder until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool completely, then slice it in half horizontally.
  5. Place the rasmalai pieces on the bottom half of the cake and gently place the top half over the rasmalai.
  6. Garnish the cake with chopped pistachios and almonds.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
