Rasmalai Cake
Rasmalai cake is a fusion dessert that combines the flavors of traditional Indian rasmalai with a classic cake. This indulgent treat is perfect for special occasions or when you want to impress your guests with a unique dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios and almonds for garnish
- 6 pieces of rasmalai for filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, milk, ghee, yogurt, baking powder, and cardamom powder until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely, then slice it in half horizontally.
- Place the rasmalai pieces on the bottom half of the cake and gently place the top half over the rasmalai.
- Garnish the cake with chopped pistachios and almonds.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
