Raspberry Chipotle Sauce
Raspberry chipotle sauce is a versatile and flavorful condiment that adds a sweet and spicy kick to a variety of dishes. Whether used as a glaze for grilled meats, a dipping sauce for appetizers, or a topping for desserts, this sauce is sure to impress your taste buds.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Add the chopped chipotle peppers, apple cider vinegar, and salt to the saucepan. Stir to combine and continue cooking for another 10 minutes, or until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
- Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool slightly. Transfer the sauce to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunky sauce, you can skip this step.
- Once blended, strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the raspberry seeds, if desired.
- Transfer the raspberry chipotle sauce to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
