Raspberry Jalapeno Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package powdered fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, crush the raspberries with a potato masher.
  2. Add the chopped jalapenos, sugar, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
  3. Stir the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a full rolling boil.
  4. Add the powdered fruit pectin and continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and skim off any foam.
  6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal with lids.
  7. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes to seal them.
  8. Allow the jam to cool and set before serving.
