Ravioli Lasagna, known as Ravjul Lasagna in Maltese cuisine, is a delicious and hearty dish that combines the flavors of traditional lasagna with the convenience of ravioli. This recipe is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a gathering with friends.
Ingredients
- 1 package of cheese ravioli
- 2 cups of marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the ravioli.
- Season with half of the oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, cheese, and seasonings.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes before serving.
