Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios), chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast the semolina until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  2. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, heat the milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Slowly add the roasted semolina to the milk mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts, and cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
  5. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
