Ingredients

  • 1 kg red meat, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 4-5 dried red chilies
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 4-5 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the red meat pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the dried red chilies, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Pour in the yogurt and cook on low heat until the meat is tender and the gravy thickens.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
