Refogado De Camarao Picante (spicy Shrimp Stir-fry)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and red chili. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the bell pepper and continue to sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Push the vegetables to the side of the pan and add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink.
  5. Stir in the paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro.
