Refogado De Carne Com Legumes (beef And Vegetable Stir-fry)
Refogado de Carne com Legumes is a traditional East Timorese stir-fry dish that combines tender beef with a variety of fresh vegetables, creating a flavorful and nutritious meal.
Ingredients
- 500g beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 1 cup green beans, trimmed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Heat the remaining tablespoon of oil in the same pan. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the bell peppers, carrots, and green beans. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan. Season with salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes to combine and heat through.
- Transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish and serve hot.
