Ingredients
- 4 lemons, juiced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved. This will make a simple syrup. Let it cool.
- In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and the remaining 5 cups of water. Stir well.
- Crush the mint leaves slightly to release their flavor, then add them to the pitcher.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
