Ingredients
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken (optional for non-vegetarian version)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, and shredded chicken (if using).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Pour this mixture over the vegetable and chicken mixture, and toss to combine.
- Place a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface, with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the vegetable and chicken filling onto the bottom third of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Use a bit of water to seal the top corner of the wrapper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the spring rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve the Reggae Spring Rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
