  • 2 tbsp palm sugar

Instructions

  1. Grind shallots, garlic, lemongrass, red chilies, galangal, and ginger into a paste.
  2. In a pot, combine the beef, spice paste, kaffir lime leaves, and coconut milk. Cook over low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt. Cook for an additional 1 hour or until the beef is tender and the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve hot with steamed rice.
