Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 pound goat meat, cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
- Add the cubed goat meat and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the basmati rice to the pot and stir to combine with the meat and spices.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
