Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the rice flour, grated coconut, jaggery, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into dumplings.
  4. In a pot, bring water to a boil and gently drop the dumplings into the boiling water.
  5. Cook the dumplings for 10-12 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  6. Meanwhile, in another pot, prepare the coconut syrup by simmering coconut milk and jaggery until it thickens.
  7. Once the dumplings are cooked, remove them from the water and place them in the coconut syrup.
  8. Let the dumplings soak in the syrup for 15-20 minutes before serving.
