Ingredients
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 4 medium potatoes, boiled and diced
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp asafoetida
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix rice flour, water, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt to make a smooth batter.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and asafoetida. Once the seeds crackle, add the diced potatoes and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add red chili powder and salt to the potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan, pour a ladleful of the rice batter and spread it to make a pancake. Cook until crispy on both sides.
- Serve the rice pancakes with the spicy potatoes on the side.
