Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup split Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked for 2 hours
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Grind the soaked chana dal into a coarse paste.
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour, ground chana dal, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Add water as needed to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a pan. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it into a round shape to make a pancake. Cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Serve the rice pancakes hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
