Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 cup Riesling wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
  3. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
  4. Sprinkle the sweet paprika over the meat and onions, and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Pour in the Riesling wine and beef broth, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  7. Adjust the seasoning if needed, and serve the Riesling goulash hot.
