Ingredients
- 5 ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add green chilies, grated ginger, and chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, blend the mixture to a smooth paste.
- Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and serve with your favorite dishes.
