Roasted Cottage Cheese (chhena Poda)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cottage cheese (chhena)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons semolina (sooji)
  • 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sugar, cardamom powder, and semolina. Mix well.
  3. Grease a baking dish with ghee and transfer the cottage cheese mixture into it.
  4. Smooth the top and drizzle some ghee over the mixture.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the top turns golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
  7. Slice and serve the roasted cottage cheese (chhena poda).
