Roasted Pork Knuckle Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 pork knuckle (about 2 kg)
  • 2 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 500ml chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Score the pork knuckle skin in a crisscross pattern.
  3. Combine caraway seeds, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Rub the mixture all over the pork knuckle.
  4. Place the sliced onions and bay leaves in a roasting pan. Put the seasoned pork knuckle on top.
  5. Pour the chicken broth into the roasting pan.
  6. Cover the pan with foil and roast for 1.5 hours.
  7. Remove the foil and roast for another 30 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
  8. Let the pork knuckle rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
