Ingredients
- 4 large red bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler in your oven.
- Place the red bell peppers on a baking sheet and broil for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is charred and blistered.
- Transfer the roasted peppers to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let them steam for 10 minutes.
- Peel off the charred skin, remove the seeds, and chop the peppers.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the chopped roasted peppers, ground cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and transfer the spread to a serving bowl.
