Ingredients
- 1.5 kg pork ribs
- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 2 onions, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 500ml chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced onions and minced garlic, and sauté until they are soft and fragrant.
- Season the pork ribs with salt, pepper, and paprika, then add them to the pot. Sear the ribs on all sides until they are browned.
- Add the chopped cabbage, bay leaves, and broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the pork is tender and the cabbage is cooked.
- Remove the bay leaves and serve the Costiţe de Porc cu Varză hot, with crusty bread or polenta on the side.
