Rooibos Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup strong brewed rooibos tea
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the brewed rooibos tea, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-15 minutes until the glaze thickens.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with the rooibos glaze.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, turning the wings halfway through and brushing with more glaze.
  6. Once the wings are crispy and cooked through, remove from the oven and brush with any remaining glaze before serving.
