Rooibos Glazed Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 4 rooibos tea bags
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Place the ribs in a large roasting pan.
  3. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the rooibos tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes, then discard the tea bags.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper into the brewed rooibos tea to make the glaze.
  5. Brush the glaze over the ribs, covering them completely.
  6. Cover the roasting pan with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes, basting the ribs with the pan juices every 10 minutes.
  8. Once the ribs are tender and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
