Rosbife (goan Beef Roast)
Rosbife, also known as Goan Beef Roast, is a traditional dish from the Goan Catholic Cuisine. This flavorful and aromatic roast is a popular dish in Goan households and is often served at special occasions and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Marinate the beef cubes with turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, vinegar, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.
- Add the marinated beef and cook on medium heat until the beef is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked and the masala is thick, remove from heat.
