Ingredients
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 300ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 400g shredded pork
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, water, salt, and baking powder to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
- While the dough is resting, prepare the filling by mixing the shredded pork, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, five-spice powder, garlic, ginger, and green onions in a bowl.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle.
- Spread a portion of the filling onto one half of each dough circle, then fold the other half over the filling to form a semi-circle. Press the edges to seal.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each rougamo bread for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
