Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup cream
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 1/2 tsp saffron strands
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with yogurt, turmeric, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- In a blender, grind the cashew nuts and almonds with a little water to form a smooth paste.
- Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and the marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is browned.
- Stir in the cashew-almond paste, garam masala, coriander, and red chili powder. Cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in the cream and saffron strands. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
