Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Trim the edges of the bread slices and cut them into triangles.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the bread slices until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, heat the milk, add saffron, sugar, and cardamom powder. Let it simmer until the milk thickens to form rabri.
  4. Arrange the fried bread slices in a serving dish and pour the rabri over them.
  5. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strands.
