Roz Bhaleeb is a traditional Kuwaiti dessert that translates to "Rice in Milk." This creamy rice pudding is delicately flavored with rosewater, giving it a unique and fragrant taste.
Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 tablespoons rosewater
- Slivered almonds and pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

- Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the rice pudding cook for 30-35 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

- Divide the rice pudding into serving bowls and garnish with slivered almonds and pistachios.
- Chill the Roz Bhaleeb in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
