Russian Chicken
Russian chicken is a flavorful and hearty dish that combines tender chicken with a rich and creamy sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner at home.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onion and garlic, and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually stir in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the chicken and sauce hot over cooked rice or mashed potatoes.
