Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Spread half of the mushrooms, onions, and garlic over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the potato and mushroom layers.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
