Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the mushrooms, onions, and garlic over the potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and cheese.
  6. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the potato and mushroom layers.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
