Saharan Spiced Beef Kebabs
Saharan Spiced Beef Kebabs are a traditional dish from Western Saharan cuisine, featuring tender chunks of beef marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, ground cinnamon, cayenne pepper, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the kebabs for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
