Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 2-3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the grated cheddar cheese and pulse until combined.
- While pulsing, gradually add the cold water until the dough comes together.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut it into strips about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long.
- Place the cheese sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Let the cheese sticks cool for a few minutes before serving.
