Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup potato sticks (sali)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped onions until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until the chicken is browned.
  4. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
  5. Add water as needed and simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Top the chicken with crispy potato sticks (sali) before serving.
