Salmon Poke Bowl (Qun'qun)
Qun'qun, also known as Salmon Poke Bowl, is a traditional Yup'ik dish that showcases the delicious flavors of wild-caught salmon and fresh local ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 lb wild-caught salmon, cubed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup edamame
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup shredded nori seaweed
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and honey.
- Add the cubed salmon to the bowl and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Divide the cooked rice into two serving bowls.
- Top the rice with marinated salmon, avocado slices, edamame, green onions, and shredded nori seaweed.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve immediately.
