Salmon Sushi Bake
This salmon sushi bake is a delicious fusion of Japanese and Western flavors, combining the richness of salmon with the familiar comfort of a baked casserole.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, cut into cubes
- 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil.
- Gently fold the salmon cubes into the mayonnaise mixture until well coated.
- In a greased baking dish, spread the cooked sushi rice evenly.
- Place the marinated salmon on top of the rice.
- Sprinkle the panko breadcrumbs over the salmon.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with green onions and black sesame seeds.
