Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2-3 Thai chilies, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed tofu and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the garlic, onion, and bell pepper until they start to soften.
  4. Add the cooked tofu back to the skillet and stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Thai chilies, and Thai basil leaves. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
