Ingredients

  • 10 red chili peppers
  • 5 shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Grind the chili peppers, shallots, garlic, and tomato in a food processor or mortar and pestle until smooth.
  2. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and add the ground mixture.
  3. Add shrimp paste, palm sugar, tamarind paste, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.
