Ingredients
- 10 red chilies
- 5 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of shrimp paste (belacan)
- 1 tablespoon of palm sugar
- 1 tablespoon of tamarind paste
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Grind the red chilies, shallots, and garlic into a paste.
- Heat a pan and dry roast the shrimp paste until fragrant.
- Add the ground chili paste and cook until the oil separates.
- Add palm sugar, tamarind paste, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.
