Ingredients

  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 150g petai (stink beans), halved
  • 5 shallots, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 red chilies, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 tablespoons shrimp paste
  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat cooking oil in a wok over medium heat.
  2. Add shallots, garlic, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and petai. Stir-fry until the shrimp turns pink.
  5. Add tomatoes, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
