Ingredients
- 10 green Thai chilies, stemmed
- 5 shallots, peeled
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Place the green chilies, shallots, and garlic in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the chopped chilies, shallots, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chopped tomato, salt, and sugar. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft and the mixture is fragrant.
- Remove from heat and let the sambal lado hijau cool before serving.
