Ingredients
- 500g fresh squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 5 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 red chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the shallots, garlic, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the tomatoes, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the squid and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the squid is tender.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
