Ingredients

  • 10 red chili peppers
  • 5 bird's eye chili peppers

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by chopping the red chili peppers, bird's eye chili peppers, shallots, garlic, and tomato.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped shallots and garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped red chili peppers, bird's eye chili peppers, and tomato to the pan and cook until softened.
  5. Add the shrimp paste, sugar, and salt to the pan and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and let the sambal cool down.
