Samoan Style Beef Stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, snap peas, carrots)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and grated ginger to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and onion, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and well coated with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
