Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 12 sheets of phyllo dough
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a pan, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Add the mashed potatoes, frozen peas, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper to the pan. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Take one sheet of phyllo dough and cut it into 3 strips. Place a spoonful of the filling at the end of each strip, then fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle. Continue folding until the entire strip is used, then seal the end with a little water.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the samosas in batches until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the samosas hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
