Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 12 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, peas, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with 3 more sheets, stacking them on top of each other.
- Cut the stacked phyllo pastry into 6 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle, then continue folding to the end of the pastry strip. Repeat with the remaining pastry and filling.
- Place the samosas on a baking sheet and brush them with melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the samosas are golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
