Santomean Spiced Lamb Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the meatballs in the skillet for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
