Sarajevo-style Kebabs (Sarajevski Ćevapi)
Sarajevski Ćevapi, also known as Sarajevo-style kebabs, are a popular dish in Serbian cuisine. These delicious grilled kebabs are made with a blend of ground meats and traditional Balkan spices, and are typically served with flatbread, onions, and a side of ajvar.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground lamb
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, lamb, pork, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long, sausage-like kebab.
- Heat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the kebabs for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.
- Serve the Sarajevski Ćevapi hot with flatbread, chopped onions, and ajvar.
