Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, kecap manis, garlic, coriander, cumin, brown sugar, and lime juice. Add the chicken cubes and marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Grill the chicken skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Serve the chicken satay with peanut sauce and steamed rice.
